I can’t believe its August already! For many of us, that means back to school, fall sports, shorter days, and the busy season…
I have always felt that January shouldn’t be the only time we get to start fresh. As parents, back to school means new supplies, new teachers, new classes, new friends, and new opportunities. I think this is the part I like best.
Dorm Room Essentials
I can’t believe it will be 5 short weeks before we are moving Jackson into his dorm room! Its been a whirlwind process…Orientation helped answer a lot of questions but we still have a lot when it comes to getting him settled in. Lucky for me, I found some great resources…mainly my friends who have gone before me! Plus a few articles on what to bring and why.

Do you want S’more?
S'mores are a Summer Staple around here. Ever since our kids were old enough to hold a skewer they have been roasting marshmallows with friends and family around our firepits. I cannot imagine a summer or fall without them. We purposely built our firepit on the edge of our patio so that you could either sit or stand around to easily roast marshmallows. I love that there really isn't a wrong time of year to eat them…
Hady in Wonderland
…Its crazy to think that its been nearly 15 years since I threw my first 1st birthday party for my own son! His wasn't nearly this elaborate, but then again I was 23 and Jeremy was deployed to Iraq. The sentiment was the same though…enjoy this baby who has brought so much joy to our lives during a difficult season…
Hope Anyways
